Welcome by Ms. Söllheim and an introductory presentation on Novel and interoperability:
Many Novell customers maintain a heterogeneous infrastructure with many different software components. Its appreciation of the complexities that arise from this is reflected in Novell’s slogan: “Making IT as One”. The Novell Data Center vision was also explained in its collaboration with Microsoft on Virtualization and Management.

Open source licensing and intellectual property rights presentation by Mr Geck (OpenXchange):

Clarification on the use of IP in the context of collaboration within the OSBF Interoperability project.

Project team meetings

After the introductory statements, participants broke into teams: Internet Service Bus, Identity Service Bus and Connect-a-thon. Within each project group rough timelines and basic issues were explained. To conclude, each individual interoperability project was introduced by their project leader.

Explanation of projects and their progress will be made on the OSBF Wiki page. The following meeting is to be arranged once the first results are foreseeable.
